 Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation will this year be hosting its 7th edition of Moroto Peace Race, in Moroto Uganda on 3rd July 2010 in Moroto township.

Because of Tegla's background, the Foundation attaches alot of importance to sports. Apart from it being a healthy living, sports has turned out to be a big income earner.
In this regard, the Foundation

    * Is building a sports training facility within the Tegla Loroupe Academy. This sports facility will act as a tool to develop talents among youths.

    * During our annual Peace Races, the Foundation seeks to identify young talents and asist them to develop.

    * Uses sports as a peace building initiative among the warring communities of the Greater Horn of Africa. To this end, the Foundation

      (a)  Organizes the Annual Tegla Loroupe Peace Races.

      (b)  Supports and Facilitates peace footbal festivals in the Greater Horn of Africa Region.
